oil pressure guage connected to the vtec oil pressure sensor

Default oil pressure guage connected to the vtec oil pressure sensor

was owndering if i could connect a oil pressure guage/solenoid to the vtec oil pressure sensor. i cant be bothered to get behind the engine and do the typical setup.. could this be done at the vtec pressure sensor.. oh by the way its a GSR motor.

has anyone done this, please advise..

It can be done. Just make sure the VTEC sensor is straight off the T from the head to be sure it's gets the best flow.

I ran one from the port in the front of the head, but that's just to monitor my VTEC pressure.

Here's a few pics. All the fittings can be purchased at your local Home Depot, Lowe's, etc... Except the adapter fitting that goes into the head. That has to be purchased from AutoMeter.

Also, my setup only reads pressure when VTEC is engaged.

Thanks man.. but iwas thinking of installing the oil pressure guage inside the car.. also could you get bigger pictures(hope i aint asking for too much).. is the engine a b18c or b18c1.. mine is a jdm si b18c

2 questions..
1. why does it only give you a reading and the point of vtec?
2. whats your readings at at vtec point
