Default suspension questions

i was just wondering if anyone is using polyurethane bushings. are they worth it, or just a waste of money. my current set up is ksport coilovers, comptech sway/tie, skunk2 lca and front and rear strut bars. will poly bushings make a differance or no....any opinions please.

On a street driven car, I wouldn't bother. The ride will be more responsive, but the effort of installing them isn't worth it, IMO.

I believe bnuk has them, so shooting him a PM might help get some real-world experience for you to decide if they are right for you.

I have them on my car. They will make the car noticeably stiffer. Turn in seems to be better but overall ride is harsher. They can be a huge pain to install. If you have access to a press that would be the best idea. I did it myself by the cut and hammer method but if i did it again id just pay someone to press them out. The only ones that seem to have a problem squeaking on my car are the front upper control arms. Although I don't have the rear in anymore as i switched to type r rear lca's with the type r suspension changeover.

Do you skunks have poly bushings in them? If so then if you get a camber kit with them you have them already installed and you could just buy a few individually to do the flca for much cheaper then the kit. I would suggest the sway bar ones, both endlinks and d bushings, since they are cheap and easy to change.

I did my bushings at the same time as my shocks so I can't really speak to the exact benefit the offer. Most people who have them complain that they squeak and I have the same problem. Seems to really be a design problem, the only two companies (prothane and energy susp.) that make poly bushings for integras aren't really sport compact companies and probably didn't put much time into the design. It only squeaks on big bumps so its not too bad.

Also one thing I noticed, everyone talks about the big soft rubber stock bushing but integras have some pretty damn tough bushings (except for the rear TA bushing), I really don't see how the poly bushings are that much harder than the stock bushings.
