Default Buying ANOTHER Acura

My manager at work is trading in his 97 integra LS so he can get a truck. Just out of curiousity i asked him to let me know how much they would give him because i might be interested in it so he tells me he'll sell it to me for $3000. Ok, heres the breakdown on the car.

110k Miles
Original Owner
All scheduled maintenance up to the 90k service
Mechanically its in good shape.....cosmetically however it has seen better days. The door handles are messed up from someone trying to break in, drivers side has been keyed. Rear emblem broken off. Thats about all i can think of right now but none of it is major(dents, dings, and some messed up paint.) interior is pretty decent. I was thinking that for $3000 i could put some time and money into it and turn around to sell it for a decent profit. Kind of a project/money making thing in one. Or keep it, i really dont know. For that price it seems like a really good deal so i thought i should jump on it. What do 97 LS's usually go for? Any opinions appreciated.

Why get a second acura? The $3000 you spend oh it you could put into your current car.

I checked the blue book on it and with some work i could expect to get $7700 from a private seller. i obviously i would not get that much but either way it would be some money, and it would be fun..in theory. I cant spend $3000 on my current car because i dont have 3k to spare for it. I would get the 3k back when i sold the car.

Hehe, this is why i threw the idea out to you guys.

You could turn around and sell it in the paper for probably 2k more. I'd jump on it- definitely a steal.
