Default gsr intake mani

im thinking about getting a skunk 2 intake mani for my gsr integra and was wondering if i need any modifications to install it? my friend told me i did. ne help would be great

You should get something to raise the transition from low-cam to hi-cam. What are your current mods?

its completly stock just got intake! header is coming soon! i went to the track and ran 15.3

You need a VTEC controller and dyno time. thats the quickest and cheepest way. For the long run, you might want some type of engine management system.

complete the bolt on's with an exhaust. then cams. then a manifold.

I agree.

You will lose a lot of low end by swapping to a larger manifold. Unless you enjoy revving the piss out of it to make it move, keep it until you have more extensive modifications.

Yes I hate working anywhere near the stock intake manifiold, but i don't want to lose any low-end power. I decided to keep, yes keep, the stock GSR IM and bore out the throttle body and port-match the IM opening to 64mm, same as Skunk2.Thats what I believe will be the best option for my setup and only cost about $160. Its just another option for GSR owners.
