Default hard shift to 1st and 2nd

I have had my 2001 acura integra se for about 6 months now and am noticing in the cold weather it most of shifted into 1st and 2nd slowly with a fair amount of force. If a shift it too fast into either of those gears it will gind too. Once the transmission warms up it will shift into both gears normally however it has to be really warm and as most of my driving is done in the city and I live in Canada with cold winters most of the driving that i do takes place before the transmission has had time to completely warm up. The problem is very frustrating on an other wise very nice car.

I should mention that I did try changing the transmission fluid and filled it will honda's manual transmission. The car it's self only has 60,000km on it.

Has anyone else experience similar problems? Or have any idea's how I should try to deal with it?

thats weird, when it comes to my problem while its cold it shifts good but as soon as it warms up its also a bit hard to shift into 1st & 2nd. my problem most definitely is bad/worn syncros, so that could be one of the problems man, check your CMC for any leaks.

I use Pennzoil synchromesh tranny fluid made for GM's. I'm sure many others here do too. Took care of my 2nd gear grind and hard 1st to 2nd shifting. Mine was in all temperatures though.

Maybe I'll give that stuff a shot then, I guess it can't hurt anyway

Thanks for the advice
