the only advantage you have with an iridium over platinum is that it provides a better spark over a longer period.
for what they cost, just use standard copper plugs and replace them more often. stil going to be cheaper and better spark in the long run.

omg! those of u who're against iridium plugs, i wanna ask have u tried accelerating with those plugs? those r the best plugs i've seen, and i got 'em cheap cuz they were on sale. they kinda make my civic startup a little bit slower than platinum, but tht's for like only one second. and than it starts taking off like a rocket 
. and ignition is so good no hesitation. just fire right away. but i don't know cuz i have 10.3 mm wires too. so tht might make differences
