Default Transmission/Clutch Issues after Clutch Job

I have a 96 Integra GSR and just changed my OEM exedy clutch/pressure plates/bearings out as the clutch had started slipping. I did not replace the fly as it was straight without gouging and just cleaned up the surface with scotchbright. Anyway, tested the clutch for engagement and drove my car off the lift and then went into first and nothing would happen. I could shift into gear but the clutch would act like it wasn't engaged. RPM register on the speed when engaging gears. I took it back into the building and rebleed the clutch and still nothing. I believe it is engaging the gears but nothing is happening. I also played with the clutch throwout arm and it seems like the clutch is engaged. Any thoughts?

Thanks
Ryan

Have you tried adjusting the engagement height at the pedal?

When I replaced my clutch, I had to bring the engagement height up because it was engaging at the floor.

No I did not try that but it seemed to engage just fine before trying to go into 1st.

Well it ended up being the cv joint was not all the way in and must have poped out while I was reversing. Put it back in and ran fine.

That sounds great, but not resurfacing that flywheel may cause you some problems down the line. It may have looked fine to the naked eye, but I am willing to bet there were still imperfections that need to be negotiated.

Any machine shop should be able to do it for you.

or automotive ctr. that does clutches. Some just replace the whole thing, but some re-surface as well.
