Driver's side or passenger's side? The glove box part confused me....On the wall (I'm having a brainfart right now, so this isn't very descriptive), there is about a 1" hole that should have a cap. Maybe your cap is missing. I got one from the junk yard to cover mine.

My cap is also missing but I have never had a water leaking problem. You might want to pull up the carpet and see if you have any rust spots that caused a hole to appear or just a hole in general and not caused by anything.

You also said you have no heater or AC, correct?

It's possible that your heater core is leaking. Does it smell like anti-freeze?

Get a Helm's, or Haynes and follow the procedure for checking your heating & cooling system.

Pull the wiper arms, then the plastic mesh cover directly over the wiper motors. You will see the problem then. There is some rubber seals that can fall out of place as well as the drainage channels get clogged with debris over time. This causes water to get into the fresh air inlet for the heat/AC

I have had to do this twice in seven years on a 92 teg.
