92 ls tranny HELP!
my 92 integra ls is hard to get in and out of gear when you get past 4000 rpm. i took it to a local tranny shop that i heard good things about. he called me after driving it and said i need to replace the trans and the clutch. i would like to know where to find a cheap trans and maybe a stage 2 or 3 clutch. also i'd like to know how much work it takes to put a newer integra trans on it.
any info would be great

Not neccessarily bad tranny.
Try this: Go clutchless to test the tranny. Here's how you do it; Run second gear up to about 4500 RPM's. As you let off the gas shift into neutral without the clutch. Blip the throttle up to about 5000 RPM's. As the RPM's come down off of the throttle blip you should be able to slip into gear fairly easy. Remember to be smooth and don't force anything.
If you can't get the trans to shift this way you have diagnosed a synchro problem. This is bad.
If you can get it to do this it's probably just the clutch. Not so bad.
