Default GSR exhaust VS. ITR exhaust

Had a quick question.....I'm a lil tired of the aftermarket exhausts nowadays...getting a lil old ....so I was wondering if an ITR cat back exhaust would bolt up to my 95 GSR with no problems. Is the piping the same, and will it fit onto my cat? Or do you think it's a waste of money? Any ideas or opinions would be appreciated...thanks

no...it won't bolt up. you have to get the piping slightly modified.

The Type-R Cat-back exhaust is 57.2mm (2.25") mandrel bent piping [an increase of +6.4mm~8.6mm over stock] throughout to increase air flow. The muffler is a multi-chamber design, and does a wonderful job of dissipating sound. However, the funnel-shaped piping in-between the chambers makes it a very free-flowing exhaust. Furthermore, in order to lighten/strengthen the parts, stainless steel was used.

The B-pipe will need to be extended 4.5" if it is installed on a '94-'99 GS-R because it has a shorter cat than the other Integras.

So if I extend the piping, will it line up to the cat? I have a feeling I would need a new cat. And if I do, then do I need an ITR header?

Basically, can I just bolt up the ITR exhaust to the cat. or do I need the ENTIRE system, header, cat and exhaust?

You need to extend the piping from the ITR catback to fit on the GSR. Any competent muffler shop can do this.
