Is there a way to make the cooling fan run all of the time? The original owner took out the a/c so the second fan never engages. It's hard for me to believe that the engine stays @ perfect temp for the first fan not to engage, ever. I was just a little worried.:noes: Let me know if this is a big deal or not. Spanks.

I'm sure it stays cool enough, or you'd notice it on your coolant temprature gauge.

You can just hook it up to your ignition, which will make it run whenever the car is on. Or, run the wire to a switch inside so you can manualy turn it on.

Taht makes sense. Every other car I had the fan would engage @ some point. Then again, they weren't powered by HONDA.

I believe the second fan only kicks on with the AC. I'm not positive, I no longer have my OEM fan's. At any rate, the second fan would deffinately help with cooling but it's probably un-nessacary at this point.

If & when you decide to go turbo, you will most likely need a slim fan instead of the factory setup. They can be had for $50-$70 on honda-tech. I would just leave it alone in the mean time.

The AC fan is only used when the AC is turned on. If the AC is removed I would take that fan out...it is doing nothing but adding weight to your car.

I have been running with no AC for 2 years now and only my stock radiator fan on a stock radiator. No cooling problems at all!

which fan is the A/C fan and which one is the cooling fan? I can only get the one on the passenger side (iirc) to work.

The one on the passenger side is the radiator/cooling fan, the one on the drivers side infront of where the AC compressor is/should be is for the AC.

ok...that's what confuses me. See when i turn on my a/c (which doesn't currently work so we bypassed the compressor to get the fan to work), the rightside fan kicks on. You say this is the cooling fan, however.

I might be just mixed up about which fan kicks on...I'm at work so I can't really check right now.

anyway, i ran wire from the battery to the fan that wasn't working and it kicked on. does this mean i have a faulty fan switch somewhere or what?

Just to make sure we are on the same page, when you are standing at the front of your car, facing it, and looking into the engine bay the fans between the radiator are as follows...

To your left, the car's passenger side, is the radiator fan. To your right, the car's driver side, is the AC fan.

Make sure that your bipass of the compressor is hooked up to the correct fan...there is a switch next to the driver side headlight. If it is wired to the wrong fan that could be the culprit.
