Hmm... so the general consensus seems to be Skunk2 & stock GSR > B&M and most others. I'm still not 100% on whether to install an aftermarket one yet, but I do like the idea of a heavier shift knob to start with. Is it really that much noticeable? It definitely makes sense to put a more weighted end on that side of the pivoting point. Thanks again for the feedback.

I have a short shifter and I like it, but I would say save the money and just install some polyurethane shifter bushings. The knob or shifter isn't noticable enough to spend the money.

Bad thing about a solid machined knob is when it is really hot or cold out, so is the knob. I actually got rid of my ITR shift knob the first time I burned my hand on it when it was 105 outside.

My stock shifter rattles, I have to either hold the shift knob or turn the radio up . I have no clue as to why this is happening.

GSRs already have a fairly short throw.... try driving a Honda Accord to experience a long throw.

If you're going to install new bushings, I'd say go ahead and install a Skunk2 while you're already under the car. It is a shorter throw, but you'll get used to it pretty quickly....

I would say you should go with a TWM Short Shifter, well worth the money if you want a short shifter
