moisture in headlight
#11
yea but it seems that would take a few hours since the bulb isn't is in the same area as the moisture. And running your headlights for a long time would just slowly destroy the battery. I think i'll just wait it out and send them to custom lightz for the HID retrofit.

well i appreciate the help but i'm too afraid i'd screw somethin up. Well that and if i'm going to send them away to have them retrofited i might as well just take them out once instead of a twice. I thought about taking out the hi beam and sucking the moisture out with my shop-vac but thats not gonna keep it from happening again. Seems like it moistured up right after i went to mike's express car wash.
I think for now on i'll just hand wash it or take it to the car wash and wash it myself. It was just real cold and i was on my way to kentucky. Wanted my car shiny for my family

all you really need to do is replace the seals being that most da's are around 14-16 yrs old , those gaskets go bad, i would just replace them and put a water resistent type sealer around it

fixed it. I found the hose that lets the moisture vent and got a brilliant idea. Note, i'm from kentucky so maybe thats why i did this weird ass way. Got a funnel, duct taped it to the end of our leaf blower. Stuck the funnel on a hose i ran to the top of the high beam light into the nipple for the original drip hose. I took out the bulb and put it away in the garage. Started leaf blower and came back 10 mins later. The vortex it made pretty much blew out all the water. I then took a wire claw and used a small piece of a towel and cleaned the rest with some windex.
The projector i just left alone, most the water is gone now. I think next time before i go to mike's express i'll skip the underbody wash. Or stop up the headlight housing hoses.
