and lls block b16b head? hp gain from this head ??????
Hp gains are minimal depending on the head and ecu: itr head and ecu 190hp, Gsr and ecu 170hp. the point of the ls/vtec is bigger displacement and more torque from the LS or B20 blocks combined with the ability to go into vtec by using the itr, gsr, and b16 heads and ECU's!!! If you have the chance drive a stock GSR or ITR, and the if you know someone with an ls/vtec, drive it!! you will feel the power difference you can get with an ls/vtec!!!

Just buy the LS/Vtec conversion kit, It comes with an oil filter adaptor plate so you don't have to tap the head. You will also need to upgrade your rod bolts to ARP. Best to install a fresh set of Rod and Main bearings while your in there. Checking clearances with plasti-gauge is harder with the engine in the car. And don't forget to buy an ECU or something to tune with. You can buy just about any Vtec head here: http://www.jdmshit.com/parts/components/index.html

ITR and B16 heads are the same casting, but different components. If you plan on modifying in the future, I recomend getting whichever has the best price. If your plan is to leave it alone, the ITR head is a great option. Don't forget about your intake manifold, the GSR head must have a GSR IM.

I had a Magnaflow exhaust on my ls... I liked it alot great idle, but loud as hell when you punched it

Golden Eagle has this conversion kit!! Use the GSR rod and main bearings, Ls Bearing Can't handle the high Revs that the Vtec ecu produces!!!

b16/b16b/itr = practically same head

all the heads you listed flow nearly the same. get whichever one you can find for cheap.

It will work just fine. Displacement is not determined by the head itself.

The ITR head is the SAME casting as a B16 head, different valves, valvesprings, and camshafts. ITR also has a mild port and polish to remove factory imperfections.

the block determines the displacement not the head
