A bunch of companies make turbos using the Garrett system as far as naming goes...GT, Turbonetics, etc etc.

I believe Drag kits come with a T3 0.63 a/r turbine and TO4E 57 compressor, if not that exactly then something close to that. Generally when you look at dynos of cars with a Drag kit on them you'll see that the turbo doesn't even start to spool past 3000 RPM which is a bit more waiting than I prefer. The trick is to find a turbo that spools reasonably quick but also gives you good power up top. One way to do that is use a ceramic ball bearing turbo which will spool faster than a standard-bearing turbo for the same given trim, of course that's a $550 option from Drag.

in the end, you will spend as much as buying a kit, but you will have better parts
for instance, i will have a better manifold, intercooler, and wastegate. plus instead of FMU i will have hondata... all for about $100 more than a drag kit.
what kind of manifold are you going with? how much?

I think retail on a GReddy is $3,249.00. I could get you one for around $2,700.

Includes: Cast Mani, FCU, 320 cc Inj., Air Intake, Piping, Hoses, Oil Lines and misc. hardware.

unless theres harsh inspection where you live i dont suggest the greddy. The drag 3 kit is $3200 at importparts.com which seems pretty reasonable.

If you sign up on honda-tech you get a 10% discount from IP. Just wait for a group buy if you really want to get a good deal. As for turbo sizing, the t3/t4 combo is really an all out drag turbo. Its about as large as you really want to go but with that you also get lag. A 3'' downpipe and exhaust will help spool faster but there will still be a very noticable amount of lag. Its all just preference. Do you want a fast spool up or high end power?
