I was wondering if I can just upgrade my clutch to an ACT performance clutch, resurface the stock flywheel and change the bearing.

Ok next question, if I was building my Integra to make 195-200whp and 165tq would purchasing a clutch kit be necessary. My knowledge on clutch holding power is limited.

It would be rather pointless to upgrade everything except the pressure plate. The stiffer pressure plate is what separates a stock and ACT HDSS clutch. Do it right the first time and upgrade everything.

a buddy of mine had a 00' prelude SH. He did an act clutch install in his garage and reused the stock pressure plate. I ended up driving the car and noticed that the clutch pedal felt normal (my knee thanks you honda!!!) and the grab was much more crisp. granted the ludes pressure plate is stronger from the get go, it did not seem to struggle with grabbing. Worked so well in fact that it pushed me over the edge in car shopping. I now own a GSR yyaaaay for me!

my gsr came with an ACT clutch + stock pressure plate. I ended up replacing the stock pressure plate when a few of the springs on the PP snapped off.
