Default Still Slugish!!!

Well everyone has been telling me dude its so your o2 sensor, well today got it installed, and my engine still sputers, still goes slugish until i hit VTEC at around 5000rpm, not fun at all to drive, so i want to know what else could it be, one part i forgot about was the TPS, i should have spend the $120 on that, my o2 sensor was not that bad. so is this for sure what i need to replace, also note that no diagns. comp can link to my ECU, "Linking Error" always appears, so how can i know for sure what the problem is, besides this, im saving up for 3-4-5 Syncro kit,and other small parts, trying to fix the mechanical stuff first before i move onto some Suspension parts.

I really doubt your o2 has anything to do with the sluggish engine (as you found out).

So far.. what have you checked? i'm assuming a CEL light is on ? Anything smoke or leaking etc?

CEL is on, no smoke, from time to time the smell of burned gas. thats about it, of course slugish, sputters, also hesitates a lot, sometimes it doesnt, and my idle keeps going up and down, but usually sits at 700-800RPM, and spikes up to like 1200-1300 then goes back down to like 900 then 860,880,890,840 you get the point. its this the TPS or what.

Find the code it is giving for the CEL, fix it and your problem will go away. Simple as that.

Put the high cost scanner down, and try the "paperclip method". Then post your results.

If you can't retrieve a code with a paper clip, maybe cars aren't your thing.

thanks Schmoo, the shock part was just a joke, i never actually tried to do it, only reason why i know about it was cause i saw my uncle do it once on a civic, i will try to do it tommorow, i may not know everything there is about cars, or know little secrets and tips, but i still love them to death, i will never stop learning and working on cars. im only 18, still a lot of time to learn all i can. i dont have that much of hands-on exp. slowly my uncle is teaching me more and more on some of his cars.
