grindding when shifting.

grindding when shifting.
i drive a 1990 integra and when i shift to 3rd and 4th gear i hear a grindding noise does any one know what causes this problem?
if so can you tell me how to fix it if you know how to?

most likely bad syncro's. i have the same problem in 3rd. try replacing your tranny fluid. if that doesnt work, you'll need new syncros. which will cost more than buying a used tranny after all is said and done. :hs:
