VIN plack thing....

On the inside of the door where it has a little plack thing it says the VIN # and like a weight (3690lbs) or w/e. What does that number stand for? Cuz i know a teg doesnt weigh 3690lbs.

anyone know?

max weight of the car including fluids, people, luggage, etc.
