Default ~ Blow Head Gasket ~

Alright so my cars been out of commission for a good while now. I finally decided to fix her and I was told it was the head gasket.

The mechanic I talked to said it would cost me some $500 to just replace the gasket. And if I wanted to fix( I don't recall if he said replace of fix) the head it would cost some $950.

I want to know if I should go with the $500 which I have or the $950 job that I need to borrow money to get done.

It's a 91 GS.

When I first got it they said it had some 90K miles, but if I could find a engine for cheaper and with less miles I'll go for that.

Anyone know any sites where I could get one? Thanks for the answers.

Found this site with a quick search. Engine

I checked out Ebay and seen this one:

Engine

The others were like missing parts or not for my car.

I'm not clueless about cars, but I need to brush up on a couple things.

Hmm. I'm sure I could find one around here. There are a lot of Asians around here(not being trying to be stereotypical) but I think I could find one they have.

Also why trans?
