95 acura integra Brake issues
Ok Sup guys I have my 95 teg and I just changed the rear brakes cause they where just about done. With the old brakes they where really cheap and did'nt work to great now I went and bought new Dealer OEM brake pads and Now when I lift the E-Brake the car will only slow down fron let's say 60MPH not lock up. Hummm Also When driving when I hit the brakes hard the car stops maybe 92% perfect not 100% (maybe Master cylender)? I just bleed everything! HELP

THe pads need about 500 miles to break in/bed. You will notice improved performance after a bit. You may need to adjust the brake cables for the parking brake. How many clicks when you pull it up? If it is a bunch, you may need to adjust hand brake.
As far as bleeding, does the pedal feel hard when you push it, or sort of spongy? Sometimes if you drive it a little and slam on the brakes, it shakes the bubbles loose, redo the bleeding and it improves the pedal feel.
Did they give you new inner and outer brake shims? I just did my brakes and the guy at niello acura told me, "You don't need the inner shim" Actually they told me it just came with the bigger shim, and I said, "So you only need the one that goes on the piston side?" He says yeah, that is right(but he was full of crap, when I called the other dealer, they told me you needed the inner and outer shims) I went back and bitched, they gave the inner shims to me, which would have been like $7 apiece. The guy who seemed to know what he was talking about said he asked the mechanic, who said they come with the pads sometimes, sometimes not. In the manual, it says the ITR does not have an inner shim, any one know for sure?(Sorry to hijack)
