IMO, after the fact.....I would have gotten the eibach sportlines. Similar rates as my current setup exept the rear has a tender spring built in to help smooth the ride.
I live in Colorado. The roads are much better than they were in California, but even there, the rates were pretty comfortable. I like the higher rates in the rear so that it makes the car more neutral. With the thicker sway in the back, I can get my car sideways and still maintain control.

Yeah I have 400 f/r with the koni/GC. It is a little too stiff for pittsburgh roads, but it is fine on smooth roads. I love the setup though. I did something stupid a week ago and got sideways but it was suprisingly easy to get back under control. If you are going to run a rear biased system I would strongly recomend you go to some autoX sessions to get a feel for when and how it breaks loose, and to get some experience with those "oh shit" moments.

Exactly. Your suspension setup is only as good as the driver behind the wheel. Knowing how far you can push the car while still having full control is key.

What is the stiffness on the shocks? I have mine a quarter turn from full stiff and they are just fine. Maybe something is loose? Check all your bushings and suspension components.

if you keep hitting pot holes you can destroy the shocks pretty bad. though with them being this new it's probably just them getting broken in

my advice would be to get your alignment checked if you hit a pothole that big and to avoid pot holes at all costs.

also get

If you destroy the shocks, what happens? Is there a visible sign that they're damaged?

They will be leaking fluid and/or you will notice the difference in ride quality right away.

Will the ride height change?
