get whichever is cheaper, chip it, get hondata, tune it.

p72 has knock sensor capability, p28 does not. I would get p72 if possible.

The P30 does as well.

i was curious how a p28 would be faster if it was chipped. wouldnt a p72 be better to chip for a gsr??

does anyone know how much hondata cost to get?? an how its installed??

what is a knock sensor anyways??

if you still have the stock dual stage intake manifold of the gsr use the p72 as it can control them. if you have a single stage manifold you can use either p28, p30, or p72. if you use the p28 you can disable the knock sensor, which is used to detect detonation and will retard timing.

While I'm reading this topic I thought I'd ask:

If I Had a gsr, and decided to get a type R ecu...would it require any adapter harness, and if not, does it matter if its a JDM ecu or do I absolutely need a USDM ecu?

if you have a single stage manifold on your gsr there are better options than an itr ecu. the itr ecu has vtec set too high for stock gsr cams. as long as the ecu is the same obd as the engine, it should plug right up.
