Are you fat at all? Or are you in pretty good shape? The first step in weight reduction is to have the driver not adding excess weight. So start there if your personal weight is a problem. If not, like everyone else says, strip it completely or leave it the f*** alone.

IMO i wouldn't get racing seats if i were you. too much hassle to install. if you're rich, then go ahead. i'd save the money for a rainy day. it's just too pricey for me

Racing seats are all preference to the driver. A lightweight seat is good but then its all about comfort and how low the seat sits also.A low racing seat gives the driver a better feel for the cars center of gravity. And a lightweight seat is good but like others said might as well gut entire car if you want light weight.

My advice buy a low cost seat that is comfy and affordable to you. Worry about the lightweight later when you get real serious power or even into some serious track racing.

I agree, i have Bride seats in the civic, i wish i bought GSR leathers instead. It gets annoying having the seat squeezing you in and having to pull yourself out of it every time to get out of the car

I got an carbon fiber hood, and maybe going to get an CF trunk, now that is enough for me, rear seat i might take off if i was going to install an 5pnt rollbar.. so if you have the money go head and buy those carbon fiber seats which i dont think are that comrfotable to begin with, so save your money man and get yourself some HP gains....

Look into performance gains as apposed to making your car lighter. if you wanna take off a couple hundred pounds, have custom plexi glass windows installed. (pretty redicluious if you ask me though) The gsr hardly weighs anything, you'll have better luck saving up and getting engine performance upgrades.

Good luck
