Default TOO good to be true???!!!!???

Hey guys

I just bought a 2000 Integra Type R off E-bay. I wasnt plannin on buying a car that day at all but i saw this with 30 mins left on the bid for 8500.. so i biddin 9700 and i won it... Im happy and everything but I'm a little nervous dealing with this guy. Someone messaged me and was like dont deal with him hes a cheat and everything. I was scared to do it so i am deciding to fly down to where the car is (L.A.) and meet him there (If thats where the car even is). I think thats the safest thing to do. The car is WAY too cheap i no but if this is all legit i'll be so happy to own a itr at the tender age of 18. My question is if some of you live in L.A. and i find where the car is located and its close... would you mind checking it out for me?? It would save me a trip form Vancouver, Canada to California lol. I can get the address form you probably tommorrow when i call him. Ill give you the link to the car as well. Thanks a lot for helping me out guys!.

P.S. Its turbo'ed which i dont like... if i get it im putting the stock parts back on... i want this completly stock 100% And if someone has a carfax subscription right now please run the vin i still avaent had time yet, sorry it was such an impluse buy

Get the car's VIN number. I heard of someone in your situation that got the persons driver's license and bank info and it turned out to all be false. Just be careful.

there is no such thing as a greddy t3/t4 turbo kit by the way, and i hope it works out but something dosen't add up at all with this car, but best of luck

it really doesn't add up, esphecially with the car being in L.A. (lots of asians and imports). Anyone who owns a type-r has to know the market for one. A turboed Type-r, you better ask him alot of question as to what parts he used and what his engine management was.

If i were you, i'd save my plane ticket. Find someone on these forums who knows a thing or two in LA and pay him X amount of money to go see it.

If maybe... 13,000 - 15,000 then this would sound legit.
I say... save your money, play another day.

Default I Call This Bull

Hey man dont waste your money man, he's lyin, i too once wanted to buy an TT 96 Supra from ebay, for $16,600. and this was last year before i bought my tegi, i knew i was a little young for the car but i said hell i got the money and its a good deal, well i got the highest bid, after that he needed a down payment of $4000 for transporting it here to st.louis, and guess what happened then, that son of bitch robbed me, the address, the phone # his name all fake, my mother was so mad that i had to wait till the following year to buy another car. so dont mess with ebay sellers, go to an acura dealership and buy an Type-R from them.

So i contacted e-bay and asked them what the safest way to complete this transaction is. They recommened using escrow, which is third party who holds the money and makes sure that everyone is happy before releasing the funds. I am going to use that and he also has no problem with that. That way i guarentee i can get the car. Hopefully this all works out and i get the steal of a lifetime! I also noticed that its quite cheap for insuring a type r in canada. I got quoted 2500 CAD for a year. I find that quite chep being i pay 1871 CAD for a 92 integra. When/If i get the car i will be sure to post pics!.

Thanks guys
