you bought a 15 year old car with a swap... for 3.5k... thats not that uncommon seeing as swaps generally decrease the resale value of the car, and thatn most 92-95 hatches are going for 3-4k at most
it's not a steal, though it isn't that bad of a deal either... it's just not something i'd brag about

wait so whats wrong w/ a boosted type r?
boost ftw.
maybe the car is cheap because the motor is about to blow? maybe the head is lifting? oil leaks? CEL's... etc? clutch is slipping, cracked block, bad transmission? etc...

I also bought my car (ITR) off eBay. There's absolutely nothing wrong with it as long as you are actually willing to physically be there and inspect the car thoroughly before the sale. If you get there and don't want it, there is no contractual obligation, just say it wasn't in the condition advertised, or it's a piece of shit. Hell you can even bring cash and lower your offer for it's condition.
Check carfax, goto whitepages.com and look up the address on his license...make sure he actually lives there. Most importantly, DONT send money (2 of my friends were dumb enough to do that, now have to fly to CA to get their $6k back) and finally inspect the HELL out of that car. Good luck...post pics...

1. Those pics he has showing the house and trees around his house...doesn't look like anywhere near LA that I've ever seen.
2. As stated above, Greddy doesn't have a t3/t4 turbo kit. It's easy to tell it's not Greddy just by looking at it.
3. Looks like there's damage on the driver's side of the front bumper.
4. You bid on a car without carfaxing it? Without making sure the guy is legit?
You're pretty bright.

Hmm.... Ebay sucks at some point.
But if I wanted to get an NSX, I won't find one in Virginia or am I? What about in Washington DC??? Any NSX arround there? Maybe.. but not being sold.
If I were to get an NSX, First place I'd look at would be Ebay... But unless its an Integra or anything like that... -----> Me, go to dealer
