Just out of curiousity - are you sure that you can "import" the car from US to Canada? I remember reading some post where ppl share their experiences with importation of JDM cars, and there was a guy who had some problems even with an American car. Lots of paper work, it's not gonna be a one day trip!!! Also, make sure that you use legit escrow, do not let him pick or set it up. Check autotrader for such scams. I almost lost 3500 grand for an RX-7 FD. Lucky me, I couldn't take out such amount of money from my bank at once. Good Luck mate.

EDIT: Just checked out the link on ebay. Don't know man, looks VERY suspicious. Pics are crap!!! If you'd want to sell such a car wouldn't you take some decent ones? The car is NOT worth such amount of money!!! KBB is a 30 second quote for Pete's sake. I've checked his feedback - all he did was buy stuff and didn't even pay for 2 of them, NEVER sold anything. Ppl who sold stuff to him sell DVDs and sneakers, one had a DSL router. Not a single part for the car is purchased on ebay. NOTICE - last item was purchased in March (can't take a look at what, my guess is, a DVD). Not much of info as well, take a look at other Type-R sellers, how they sell them. Don't want to disappoint you but looks like you're going to be scammed. Be VERY cautious, check 4 times before doing something. Bring a friend with you, don't want to be doing this alone, who knows man!? BUT if this is legit - I want to see the pics definitelly!!!

It was about 15 miles from my house. I won the car before I ever got to check it out, unfortunately. It looked good, but was neglected and needed over $1500 of work including a new clutch within 6 months of purchasing it.

Besides all that, it was a good deal and has treated me very well. 150k, 10 psi daily, and still running stronger than ever.

Bwuaahahahaha!! That was your fault for not doing any research :hs: MKIV TT Supras won't go for anywhere near that low of a price unless they have a ton of miles on them... even then that's a probably going to be a 93... And if you're going to spend anywhere near that much money on a car online, you should have had it secured... It sucks but you learned :hs:

Type R from a dealership? :eh: You mean used right?

Well yeay that's one thing i wish never happened to me, but its cool i can honetsly say that im better off with my GSR, so its ok, besides it was my mothers money, prior to that i had an Black auto LS that i sold for $4000 and got it sold the 1st week, then i had to give all the money to her, since she needed it for her down payment on her new car. but the following year (current summer of 2006) i received $20,000 from them, wich i used to buy my GSR for $9,900. the money came from one of those baby investment plans that they had since i was 2years old, so i used it to buy an GSR, something every kid in america would do, Right. Heres a pic when i got it.

buying a car on ebay is a high risk, especially when the price is low. There must be something wrong w/the car. If you really want that car, 1 i suggest you fly over and look carefully yourself. And if the car is good, its worth it for that trip. If it's not, then probably that's your summer vocation.
2 forget that car and find one around your area. That is no risk at all. Save your money and times.

Im happy and everything but I'm a little nervous dealing with this guy. Someone messaged me and was like dont deal with him hes a cheat and everything. I was scared to do it so i am deciding to fly down to where the car is (L.A.) and meet him there (If thats where the car even is). I think thats the safest thing to do. The car is WAY too cheap i no but if this is all legit i'll be so happy to own a itr at the tender age of 18. My question is if some of you live in L.A. and i find where the car is located and its close... would you mind checking it out for me?? It would save me a trip form Vancouver, Canada to California lol. I can get the address form you probably tommorrow when i call him. Ill give you the link to the car as well. Thanks a lot for helping me out guys!.
