the header actually isint that bad, it was $170 shipped and it looks better than the old rusted pos.

wow...what kind of monster puddle did you run through and sit in? Really though, for the bypass valve to not work, there would have had to have been water splashing up through the engine bay into the bypass valve itself for water to get into the engine, or the engine would have had to have been revving high with the throttle open while the car ran through a really deep puddle. It really isn't easy to suck up that much water all the way through the length of a CAI into the engine, just cause of its density.

I saw a test (someone else may remember where this is from) where they put a CAI with a bypass valve on an NSX and stuck the filter in a huge bucket of water during a WOT dyno run and nothing got to the engine...it just choked a bit cause the bypass valve can't flow as much air as the filter.

my vote is for a CAI of some persuasion with the bypass valve. your engine bay also looks a bit cleaner with a cai, as opposed to a sri, if that's something you worry about.
