Default engine ticking... :(

well, my engine ticks, i know my valves should be fine, but i was begining to think it might be the alternator, im just not sure yet. i made a video of the noise, its with my crappy digi cam, but it got the job done. the ticking is most noticable in the 3/4 to the end of the clip, its more loud when next to the alternator/under the IM. if u guys have any idea, LMK. i dont wanna spend $$ on a alternator when its not gonna fix anything.

also, when i got the car, it has sub wires in the trunk. maybe the alternator is makeing the noise b/c of the subs? i dunno i dislike car audio.

On mine, yeah but you have to know what you are listening for otherwise it just kind of blends in.

Sounds like noisy injectors, which is normal. :bandito:

It can be a number of things, from noisy injectors, to the wrong weight motor oil, to valves needing adjustment. I would start with the oil.
