Still working on my 98' GSR W/JDM conversion, recently put the new Drift Body kit, and CF Hood and Trunk, along with a set of Koni's. now i am having problems deciding on which clutch i should buy, i am looking for one that will have a nice clutch and pedal feel, one with no harsh engagement, now my friend who owns an Greedy turbocharged Civic has an ACT clutch that feels very good, but after 2-3 months it started being a lil harsh, no fun at all to drive, now all i need is an clutch that will handle up to 400HP, and still have good response and feel, now should i go with ACT, Clutchmasters, or Excedy. and which flywheel to combine with the clutch,i kind of fear those 6-puck designs, never realy liked them, so please give me ideas and what kind of set-up you guys have.

 

A clutch that supports 400 whp is not going to be smooth at all...just an FYI. Also, clutches are rated to a torque holding capacity, not a whp capacity.

ACT is one of the best clutches out there. I like mine a lot.

 

I like SPEC they are streetable up to stage 3 and hold a ton of power .ATC is good also.

i have an exedy stage 1 clutch in my b18 tranny..its smooth for city but grabs hard between gears when you foot is on the floor
