Default How low would you go?

Whats the lowest you would drop you teg with the standard size 15" rim? Also, how low can you go without needing to adjust camber? I really want to lower my ride for appearance purposes all the while not getting to technical. Help :hsdunno:

drop it like it's hot.

seriously through, dropping for the look alone isnt worth the effort or performance potentially lost with a cheap setup.

For a street-driven car, 2 inches maximum.
However, don't just buy a set of eBay springs and throw them on.
Your ride quality will suffer and when your stock shocks blow, you'll be in real trouble.

Search "suspension" under my screen name (in this forum, obviously) and you'll find a post that lists your options by price point. Consider them and make an informed decision.

get a set of adjustable coilovers. Don't let the camber issue intimidate you. Its not that expensive for the skunk2 adjustable UCA, and its super easy to put on. If you really dont wan't the camber kit I would suggest a VERY minimal drop maybe 1 1/2 inches...

You will need camber adjustment arms at 1.5 inches. I know because I'm at that height right now... and I wore out my first set of tires fairly early.

Also, if you go the coilover sleeve route, leave the eBay tinkertoy brands off your list. Tenzo, DropZone and all their ilk are absolute crap. The perches will often corrode and/or bind, leaving you up shit creek.

By comparison, skunk2 and Ground Control have better quality control and much better research and development procedures. They tune their coilover systems to specific models of shock absorber (aka damper).

The overall point I'm making is that bargain basement brands will not perform well in the long haul. Don't make rash decisions only to wind up dissatisfied with substandard parts.

Hang on, I'm searching for the thread I referred to earlier. h:

Here are a few to read through for general education purposes:

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...hlight=dampers
This is the one I was looking for.. it covers the range of solutions by price bracket.

https://www.honda-acura.net/forums/s...hlight=dampers
Here is what will happen if you use lowering springs with your stock shocks.

Another example of bargain parts costing more in the long run.
