Super charger or turbo?

Are you going to sit there and tell me that a laggy, power stealing $4000 Vortech supercharger is better than a turbo setup for half the price making more power and having boost come on earlier?

And it's not very cost effective, I agree. But neither is NA, and NA is still a potent and realistic route to go.
Just trying to keep doors open.

I always like to bullshit with him whenever possible. It's making up for me never being on the debate team. :chuckles:

Preparing for turbo, and install?
I think I've decided on the Drag turbo kit. What stuff should I do to the car to prepare it for turbo? What things do I NEED to get for the turbo that the kit doesn't come with other than a turbo timer? I already have an AEM cai, can I still use it, or do I have to use the one that comes with the drag kit? Anyone in the Columbus Ohio area do instals? If so how much do you charge? If not, does anyone know of a good shop to go to. I was gonna use midwest performance, any suggestions?

Do more research, because judging by your question, you aren't ready for forced induction.
Just because a person wants to buy/drive a lambo doesn't mean he can build one. Just because I don't know much about the systems doesn't mean I can't drive it.

you don't know how the system will react in certain situations...

You are skipping a step. Unless you have a fat wallet and usually have other people make your decisions for you, you are going to have to know what you are doing. Once it breaks down, don't expect any regular mechanic to touch it.

Schmoo made a very salient point in that your level of mechanical aptitude needs to rise along with the level of tuning. Otherwise, you'll be spending a lot more money with marginal returns.
I would strongly suggest that you listen to his advice, since he best canonizes the benefits of being self-reliant.
