okay here's a new twist on the saga that is my 94 Integra.
I checked all of the vacuum lines which check good. I removed the IACV and cleaned it thoroughly with throttle body cleaner. I also cleaned the throttle body while I was there. I threw IACV back in buttoned it back up took it for a test drive. The car ran smoothly for about 5 miles when the car suddenly out of nowhere just died. Try to started with no success towed back home and started troubleshooting.I found that the car was getting no spark.I opened up the distributor checked the coil in accordance with the Haynes manual and it checked good. I took out the coil just for grins and reinstalled it checked power going into the coil it was also good put the distributor back togetherand tried to crank her up. Then she started!!I gave up at that point and haven't looked at it again. it has a new coil in it so I doubt that it could be the coil going bad. the wires to the coil seem good I have no idea what could be.any suggestions?

in the interest of troubleshooting I decided to take the car out and make it die again.so I did, and it did. I checked to see if the car had spark and it didn't.so I removed the distributor cap and the rotor to check the coil, again, and power going in to coil and the ignition control module all of them checked good. I had a hunch that if I put the distributor cap back on the car would start and run fine.....and it did.that is the second time that taking off the distributor cap and putting it back on solved the problem, and now I'm lost I need major help here. is there something I'm not looking at?

NEW
distributor cap
spark plug wires
coil
spark plugs
fuel filter
air filter

cleaned and inspected
IACV
throttle body
distributor
distributor wiring
ignition control module
