Default Hi, I'm new and would like some general info..

Hi, I just got a 1994 Aura integra rs and I love it. It's pretty quick compared for what I just traded for it, which was a 1998 Chevy Tahoe gas drinker. It looks great, and better yet, it doesn't even have 60k miles on it yet. I have never modded cars before or even thought about it untill I picked this one up. Firearms was/is my passion, but now I think I want to do some stuff to this car.My questions are:

What is a Vtec engine? I know my car isn't a Vtec, but I wanted to know about it. Why is it so great? Am I S.O.L without it, or can I mod it where it wouldn't have mattered anyway?

If I ever wanted to, could I put an F-max turbo stage 2 on it's engine stock without hurting anything? Pros/cons

The Mods that I'm thinking of doing right now are, Lightend flywheel, cold air intake, headers/exhaust, then a chip. What kinda gains can I expect? I have driven a couple of fast cars here and there, like a z28 camaro, Eclipse Gs-T, Honda s2000, can anyone maybe give me an example of the kinda feeling of the car after I do these mods I know it may sound stupid, but I'm trying to get an idea of what I can expect out of this car with a little work done to it. What kind of damage to stock internals would I be looking at by doing this stuff? Well that's about it, any other info or suggestions would be great. Thanks, Ramsey.l

Anyone? If nothing else, can anyone tell me where I can go to start learning more about this? I'd like to know what I should do with this car as far as performance is concerned.

welcome to han:cheers: so you have 94 rs? nice not bad at all and just so you know vtec or variable timing electronic control is what makes a honda a honda basically put but as far as your performance gains with the mods you plan to do, you will see a slight increase in take off and responce i would say for you first mods stick to basics bolt ons: intake, header, catback, gears , pulleys, lowering springs or coilovers, etc.... and vtec is pretty easy setup to do, its a ls block, b16 head w/ gsr parts or ls/vtec conversion and can be done for under 2k but as i see it your integra a statement of yourself and you can make it to be what ever you want it to be, but all in all welcome

Are you saying that I could turn it into a vtec, or that I should drop a vtec engine in? What are the main differances between the two? I'm a real noob at this stuff, and really know nothing about cars, but am trying to get into them.

again as ls/ convo is making it vtec capatable or you could drop in a vtec motor for instance a gsr motor which is 1.7 liter vtec motor could cost 3k or more to do thats why ls/ convo is a great idea save money if you already have the setup and means to do so

What is an LS/convo? Vtec compatable as in what? I read on another forum that someone put vtec heads on a non vtec engine or something to that effect if I read it right, what would that do?

its a b18a2 block with a b16a1 head (vtec) and adding a few gsr parts or b16 parts for that matter= ls vtec conversion
