what that means, is that your evap system isnt functioning properly and your car is probably not meeting emissions. the evap system stores fuel vapors from the tank into a charcol canister located under the hood near the firewall. when the conditions are right, the cars computor commands a solenoid to open and applies engine manifold vaccum to the canister which sucks all of the vapors out and burns them in the combustion chamber. yours probably isnt opening, or it is not holding vaccum.
what year is your car and what trim ls rs gsr?

I replaced my purge control valve shortly after buying my 1996 GS-R with 63,000 K on it in Jan. 2005. Acura has a recall on the emision systems, check with your dealer (have your VIN handy) and they paid me back my outlay of $155 for the part. If you find it is not covered under the warranty, pull the sucker off (two bolts, one electrical connector and two hoses on top of the intake manifold) There are four tabs on the unit, pry them out and the front comes off. There is a rubber diaphram that is in there. Try cleaning the rubber diaphram. It may be electrical, but there may be something in the unit keeping it from funstioning properly. You can go to the junk yard to get one also if you are lucky.
