Hi everyone, I've been wanting to buy a car for a long time and I finally saved up enough for one!

I don't have much experience with cars but I want to learn. I have about $4-5k to spend and I really like to get a 94-95 Integra LS. I want something where I can start by doing small simple upgrades to it then eventually work up to something big, like a turbo or something. So is that a good car for someone who doesn't know how to do any mods but wants to learn? I also considered Prelude or Civics, but seems like an Integra is better. (more aftermarket parts, faster)

Oh yeah, completely unrelated, but how do you guys pay for insurance for a 94-95ish teg? Would a Prelude or Civic would be cheaper?

I'm 22 man. I pay for my own university so I couldn't really afford a car till now. My parents own two minivans so I didn't really want to work on those. So this is gonna be my first car.

i have a 90 ls and must say i love it had no complaints i would suggest getting a ls and if you are serious? i have a friend that has a 95 ls that he would sell for 4k black, 5 speed, pw, pdl, a/c, nice kenwood deck has like 80k on her if i remember right..... but he wants to get rid her, has no choice but if your interested hit me up...

 

the integra is a great first car. the ls is pretty quick, runs on regular (not premium) good gas mileage, looks good and fun to modify. if you're a college student on a budget, i would probably reccomend the LS over a prelude Si because the prelude needs premium. and listen to these guys, whichever car you get, BEFORE you pay the seller, bring the car to a HONDA/ACURA DEALER for a full pre-purchase diagnostic. the $100 you spend could save you throusands. literally.
