If you want something with a lot of torque its not a Honda. Hondas can make some tq but there not famous for massive numbers like nissan.

The J-series V6s are much larger than the B-series Inline-4s. When combined with larger transmission, I doubt you'll have anywhere near enough width in the engine bay to mount the drivetrain.

What model Integra do you own?
A GSR? Or an RS/ LS / GS? 4-door or 2-door?
Where do you live? In California, your options are somewhat limited.

The most realistic option for an Integra of your model year is a bolt-on turbocharger. GReddy makes a CARB-legal kit for the DC2 & DC4 coupes, which can be installed on the DB7 & DB8 sedans as well.

Lastly, welcome to HAN.
Funny thing. I saw an integra w/this swap in palmdale last weekend. It costed him near 12k for damn near everything and to get it right.

Pics or ban.

I don't doubt someone is crazy enough to do it, but if you've got proof, I'd like to see it. h:

But in all seriousnes, you're looking at $12k for what... 240 whp? A built LS-turbo will get you there for less than half that and with better weight distribution as well.

Sorry I did not take pics, so technically I guess I am full of shit. It was a whim. I was on AVE T going past LACR towards Lake Los Angeles when I saw all the imports there, I was like RIGHT TURN, grandma won't mind if we're a little late...

:chuckles: No worries. You get one pardon per year.

Back on topic.... h:

alright, a few questions:

where would i get a turbo for my engine?

how much of a boost in horsepower and torque would i be looking at..and how is PSI related to that? [sorry, i haven't read much up on turbos yet]

generally, how much of a turbo lag is there, from when i step on it? also, will it stop right away if i need to brake suddenly? no street-racing here, but in case i step on it to avoid some dink merging into an obvious 2-lane to 1-lane street, and mr. 'no-look-or-signal' decides to pull out of pizza hut just then..that sort of thing.

^ in response to that... turbos come in about every shape and size you can think of.... to a massive T-66 down to a puny T-25 or T-28.... there is ball barring turbos.... there are internally gated... externally gated....

all those factors will play a role in all the questions your asking... start researching... here i'll even get you started.

7---http://www.team-integra.net/sections...ArticleID=1100
8---http://www.team-integra.net/sections...?ArticleID=844

that's all i could find in my history.... i don't mean to be the dick and say "search" but you know.. it was all found in about 10 minutes using "turbo" search on most of the forums... as well as knowing where the best write ups are.

please do me a favor and if your serious about boost... read through all of that

(dave i think those links should go into the FAQ under "Turbo")

love and kisses
