"pillar garnish"

sounds like your sunroof drainage tubes are clogged. clear them out. that will probably take care of everything..

it's doubtful that water is getting in through there. like i said, it's most likely your sunroof drainage tubes. you'll probably need to blow compressed air through them to clear them out.

i'm not certain on how to access them, as i don't have a sunroof myself. it's a common issue though. search the forums and you should find something.

hopefully someone will chime in with their experience..

well the sunroof is stopped up. and the water in the floor is coming from the door jam. i washed my car and looked from the driverside and there was no water ... so i opened the pass door. once i opened the door the water started coming down. it was alot. it was prob about 3-4 oz that dripped out.

i think i fixed the leak. i took some pliers and crimped the seal all the way. no water so far. i washed my car and then took a spray bottle and tested it. nothing ran in the car. now i must try and fix the sunroof. how do i get to the tube? i cant even see it. all i see is the tube where it hits the firewall and exits the cabin. do i have to take my fender off to get to it or my cowl?

well i thought i fixed it. but today i really did. as reno said it was the drain tube. i had a hell of a time getting to the top of it. and then that didnt help. then i had a hell of a time getting to the bottom of it. what a day it has been. when i finnily did get to the bottom, i blew compressed air throught it and dirt and grime went everywhere because i had the tube disconnected from the sunroof.

well thanks for everyones help. another prob. solved. now my next task is replacing the seal on the cowl. i broke it thinking the tube went in there. is it necessary to replace it? it is really messed up.

glad to hear.. nice job!

can you get pictures of the seal that you messed up? in fact, create a new thread on it.

hopefully you'll get more experiences on it, than in this thread. :hs:
