HP gain from CAI and Exhaust
Currently i own a AEM cold air intake (CAI) im also saving for an 5zigen fireball exhaust. what are the expected gains for a 99 GS? im thinking 7-14 HP from the intake and im thinking 15 from the catback??
any ideas on inexpensive ways to gain HP like a K&N air filter etc??
thx guys

unfortunately, most exhasut gains are seen from freeing up restrictions. the fireball is a cat back (or is it just the back box?) so it is not really removing any restriction.
the CAI is probably responsible for the majority of any total gains you'll see. i would also say b/w 5 and 7 or so.

more like maybe 5-7hp gain from both combined...if you're lucky.
and if you have an AEM CAI, you already have a K&N filter.

about 7-10 from both. from small engines like these honda, gains are small from bolt ons but the are nesscary if you plan in doing work in the engine.

If you're planning to more than just bolt-ons (all-motor build-up or forced induction) then you should plan out your list of mods very carefully from the start. IE: the mods you mentioned are a necessity if you're planning to put in more aggressive cams but if a turbo is in the near future then you've wasted $$$
