Vtec conversion from golden eagle
Hello, my friend bought a non vtec civic and found this golden eagle vtec conversion and was wondering if it worked. I had no idea, i heard of it but dont know much about it. I was wondering if it worked well and if it does, would you need to do any headwork. It comes with an oil line that goes from the filter to the vtec you put in yourself, i think thats how it works. If anyone knows about it, opinions will do me good.....Thanks

yeah that is to only help you on the way to a LS/Vtec conversion... you would need to swap in a b18b bottom end and then throw on a B18c head... it would be more work than ur friend is willing to do... unless u guys REALLY know what your doing

Golden Eagle Conversion
Alright, so that golden eagle thing isnt for non-vtec heads? I guess im not quit understanding that conversion! But yeah tegbooster you said something about swapping to a GSR head which i can do for sure. I have the ls integra and swapped a GSR head in there and a 5spd tranny also. Still in the process. but alright i dont know much of anything about civics so try to bare with me. My friend said he wanted to get a D15 or D16 not sure which or even if either exist. he said he found one for like $200 dollars for everything. he has not purchased the engine yet but is thinking about it. Would it make more sense to do something else with another engine? He wants to build the motor but not all out. Definiantly wants turbo i guess. So he was going to put the engine in a 91 civic shell. he also told me the engine didnt have vtec and found that golden eagle product. so i guess i dont understand what would need to be done for the golden eagle kit to work properly and also if the kit is any good! Thanks for the help.
