rpm jump/shake?

rpm jump/shake?
ok when i drive less than 60 my rpm is fine, car runs smooth,(97 GS), but when im on the freeway goin 70-80 and the rpms at around 3 and i punch it it jumps or shakes to like 4 and back to 3 and is obviously not stable, any ideas? TIA!

and maintance required light is on....just wondering what the prob would be cause its obvious its there and its not only at 5 anything past it, it just jumps to like 4 to 5 and back to 3 quickly..

The maintance req light just needs to be reset ins on the right side of the wheel under the dash, just push the button and hold it for a few sec. As for the RPMS put the car in D3 and see what happens, see how the revs differ.
