i second that , it is the best advice. as a student in high school thats been working hard long before i had any opportunity to own a car, i saved quite a bit. Sure i could do everything to my car from wheels to turbo, i have the money, but id rather save it for more important things like upcoming college in two years. this is where i differ from most of my classmates who spend every dollar they have on making their car the best for all the wrong reasons, so there definitely is a good point made by reminding you work on your car because you like to, and for that only.
