Default Integra Question

I have a 1986 Acura Integra LS... When driving it tends to have a slight jerk to it, and when I put it under heavy acceleration it tries to go but seems to lug and slowly accel....I changed the cap rotor and plugs and they gave me the wrong wires so I still have to change that, but does any one know anything else that could cause this?? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thank You

It has 161,000, But my 89 civic has 261,000 and it accelerates better than the Integra... I can tell from how it accelerates that there is something wrong like something clogged or something...Plus It was owned by an older couple and is mostly freeway miles....Every thing is stock...and I got it cheap cheap!

got it fo cheap.........nice
i would do a full tune up. have u checked the oil at all. old people dont even know about oil changes. my neighbor went WAY OVER in her miles b4 an oil change and her civic still ran. when i say way i think it was like 15000. hopefully that oil its slug. could be injectors too...........hmm in 86 did they have injectors? it could be a fuel problem. change the filter on in. change the filters all around. if u can mabye change the filter in the tank. bet its the org.
GL, post a pic i dont even know what they look like!

yes cheak all the EASY CHEAP SHIT FIRST!
if you want to check timing do yourself a huge favor and buy a haynes/helems book about your teg. read it and learn, then come here and do search it on the forum. then after a while youll be ready. well, u could be an expert but i dont know ya. GL.....and take a pic of the front

You could if its a B-series(sorry dnt know about the G1's) but for an engine that old you'd be better off putting in a new engine.
