A loose timing belt wont cause a no spark condition

 

I have a 92 doch non tec and just went through the same thing. i had a local shop test the coil and they said it was fine and told me to change the ignitor so I did and still nothing. In the end it was the coil so if u havent fixed the car yet test the coil or just replace it. Autozone has it for like $68. If u still have no spark do the ignitor and Advanced has it for $67. ANd while ur in there change the belt for sure!
