Default 99 Integra - Alternative to Ugly Antenna

I just bought my car and it's has the antenna cut off. I'm worried water will go in there and cause problems.

What do you guys recommend on placing there so there is no antenna hole?

Any idea's? Maybe a rubber stopper...

Any comments are much appreciated. Thanks

i'd suggest ust getting a fixed replacement antenna, that is unless you want to buy a new one.

dont worry about water, as long as the gromet is in place and everythings hooked up right there are drainage lines comign from the antenna mast/motor into the wheel well

agreed ^
but what i did/doing is buy a slim antenna and stuck it to my back winder and then covered the old hole. I HATED seeing tegs driving down the street with a 10' antenna sticking up. the car is so small the antenna looks like its the hook Marty McFly used on the old Delorian to hit the electrical wire. 88mph+ baby

you have a couple of options, but you will have to look at improving your reception for a few of them.

obviously, you can fix the stock antenna. there are a bunch of replacement masts on ebay.

you can do the s2k antenna..

you will need to make your own or buy a mounting kit. and reception isn't so great if you don't add in some kind of booster or additional wiring.

or you can plug the hole..

obviously, reception is the worst with the plug, so you will definitely need some kind of booster or internal antenna.

this is the plug pictured above:

If cost is no object and you're handy with a welder, I'd remove it altogether, weld the hole closed and repaint. h:

I've seen aftermarket antennas at Kragen that are designed to mount at the upper-most edge of the rear windscreen -- on the inside of the glass. I can't vouch for the reception strength, but in terms of aesthetics... a completely shaved aerial would look stellar IMO.
