code P0141 even after replacing o2 sensor...

Let me just get this one last thing straight. I can put a 0bd1 p75 5-speed ECU in my car correct? Since the obd1's only have 1 o2 sensor (right?) then that should get rid of the one code.
But my main q is a obd1 ecu cant do more harm can it? I know i wont pass emissions but i dont have to worry about that for another 9-10 months anyway.

besides not passing emissions (not a problem, ill keep my obd2 ecu for a month or 2 before inspection and get the CEL's worked out), i should have no problem with that ECU correct?

actually i have no cat right now. Only for the fact that i planned to run it like that until I got my new Kteller exhaust, and didnt want to have to chop apart the 5zigen for resale.
But how would that effect my codes? I know it will throw a code for catalyist, or something. But i welded the o2 bung pretty far down the line, and extended it out so it would read less exhaust gasses. The only 2 cels that im throwing are the misfire, and the heater circuit on the secondary o2....

I had the same problem with my 99 gsr when I got rid of the cat and put a test pipe in. Since mine was also obd2, I had 2 sensors. One in the front and one in the back. I extended the wire from the secondary sensor to the front of the test pipe where the other o2 sensor is located since the test pipe had 2 bungs right next to eachother. Now I still was getting the cel since the reading from the o2 sensor was not within spec. I resolved this by purchasing a obd1 p72 computer and the obd2-obd1 conversion harness. Now, no cel. I run a little rich, but at least my cel problem is solved.
