you think a Greddy SP is worth more than a ITR muffler?
pricey? more than $200 for a muffler (whether its axle back or not)
but i forgot how much the ITR mufflers were going for last year when a friend told me....but these were brand new so maybe thats why i remember the price being a lil higher than i expected?

and the SP muffler is probably worth just a bit less simply because the ITR muffler has the "JDM-ness" and "Type-R factor" to it.

Might be cheaper to add a glasspack to your existing exhaust. :dunno:

do you have to take apart the muffler?

well i thought of getting the ITR muffler, because i thought i could get some cash out of the trade of the Greddy SP, since that is what i really need. the quieter muffler is a bonus i guess.

$200 for a ITR muffler is a lot.

i think i seen a whole cat back for that much, used.

BTW does an ITR muffler bolt right up to an aftermarket exhaust piping? Lets say I have an Apexi exhaust and wanted to just change the axle back part to an ITR. Is that possible? Is the piping the same diameter?

Brand new the ITR rear section (axle back) is like $220 or so from the dealer. They can be had for cheaper used, check 4sale forums here and on honda-tech, and check www.thepartstrader.com

Hmmm....I would be interested in that too if they did bolt up. I think if it's not the same size in diameter then you'll definately need the gasket to seal it. Even then, I'm not sure if it'll seal it. Let me know how it goes if you do it.

hap is a ripoff
i dont think itr's piping is 2.25 though
also the bends would not fit your car so your probably gonna be redoing the whole piping
so essentially your gonna be paying a shop to bend piping for yout (probably not mandrel-bent) and to weld it on to the ITR canister
not worth it imo

im keeping the greddy piping, and only getting rid of the muffler / axel back. so im guessing the shop will add less than a foot of piping.
