Looking to buy my first Integra
Whaddup everyone...i own an ACura my self, and i know they have Transmission troubles sometime...mine don't...but i have a big question to ask, before i join the integra family...are they any problems that u guys come across with your Integras, such Transmissions, EGR's, Engine, Electrical, anything that i would need to worry about...or are there no trouble with these cars at all...?...I would like to know so that i don't make a a big financial sacrifice...
Thanks i really appreciate the input...

they're pretty solid cars. get a manual tranny so you don't have to worry about transmission issues. around 100k, do the timing belt, and around 120-130k, cam plug seal, clutch master cylinder, that kinda shit might start leaking. but it's all inexpensive regular maintenance. treat the cars well and 300,000 miles should be no problem. when you find a nice one (1 owner, clean title, STOCK, service records), take it to a honda/acura dealer and spend the $150 for a full pre-purchase diagnostic. it could save you thousands.

buying Integra
I agree with Phateless. Take to an Acura dealer for a complete going over and follow their recommendation. The $150.00 cost is well worth the money
spent. Try to look at service records and get a car fax. Drive the car and
look and listen for any problems.
Good Luck.

Radiator(60-100 miles on orignal is the usual life), distributor, and tail light seals are common problems. As with any honda, the automatic transmissions usually go bad if the car was driven hard.

thanks guys i see that all acura's have auto tranny troubles...well i am looking Manual anyways....and of course all tuneups and maintenance r goin to be done...and i didn't know that acura does a complete test for a car...so its good that i go there before a buy a integra
Thanks for the input and i'll be seeing u all soon...
Oh yea...how much is a body kit conversion to a Sylvia for the integra?
And to rebuild the motor and do a preformance upgrade at the same time, how much am i roughly looking at?
Thanks again....

that all depends on what you want to do. now here's a thought. if you're going to all of that (motor rebuild/body conversion) you might want to buy one with a blown motor for cheap. why pay the money for a perfect car if you're just going to tear it apart and re-do it?
