I haven't found any deals that are better than that, bookshelf. Maybe it's just my area or something. What would be a good deal for $3500 in your area? Later.

If the compression test comes out good you don't really have to beef up the engine at all as long as you keep the boost at a reasonable PSI. As for cost it depends on if you going to do the work yourself? Try a search for compression test because I remember a discussion on that not to long ago.

A compression tester costs about $30-40. It's just a hose with a dial at the end, like a tire pressure guage. You screw it into the spark plug hole and crank the engine. Here's a how-to: http://www.c-speedracing.com/howto/c.../comptest.html

Wow that site was very informative...Thanks!!! I am really excited about getting a turbo. This sucks because I don't even have the car yet If it costs $3k for the whole turbo setup, I will have it all done in about a year

Oh, another thing is emissions. Would I be ok? I have seen several turbos in my area. I live in GA. I don't really want a Greddy, I want a little more power than it gives.

Drag
Revhard is good but i don't think they make a kit for the G2. But make sure your motor is strong before you go turboing it. I would replace all the seals, bearings and rings while i was at it too. Good luck

Oh, and you should be alright on emissions unless you go crazy

Oh, and by the way, the RS/LS/GS all have the same exact chassis. So the RS is not "sturdier" than the other two. It is lighter, but not sturdier.

i beg to differ the rs is stronger because it has no sunroof and i would get a drag III or just build your own but you have to do some homework for that and youll save about a grand if you build your own and look in the right places

Well, in my area you could get a gen2 with only 82K miles for $3,800, so figure it out for yourself what you could get for $3,500. I got mine last year with 98K miles for $3,100 and it was in very good condition except for some minor rust. Look for something with 90K for the $3,500 you got. The best way is to go to www.autotrader.com, that's how I found my car.

I've been to Autrader. $3500 usually will get you a '90-'93 w/ 150-200k miles. I don't know why they are so expensive here.
