1992 Integra LS 3dr Blower motor, switch
The blower motor in my 1992 Integra LS 3dr has ceased to work at the worst time... just as winter is in full swing here in Illinois. I don't know how to tell if the fan switch or the motor is bad. I suspect it is the blower motor because ever so occasionally it made a noise like it had a bad bearing-nothing real loud mind you. just a bit of a rattle. It would correct itself if I turned off the fan and restarted it. I believe the switch is getting power because when I hit the A/C button, the LED lights up. I don't suspect a fuse because everything else electrical works fine. Can someone give me a procedure on how to test the motor and switch? Could it be something besides the switch or motor?
Anyone have links to exploded view drawings of the dash that shows the assembly / disassembly of the switch and motor? Sure would make it easier than fumbling through a whole lot easier. I am a neophyte mechanic that owns a car that rarely breaks :-D

I think you should download the service manual which covers almost every part in the car. I downloaded it from this site only - not sure from where. Do a search for service manuals and you should be able to find it.

No need to test the the blower yet. Just do this steps. If numbers 1,2,3and 4 works (meaning you should notice the change of speed of the blower motor from slow speed to faster speed), then the blower motor is fine. Well but u mentioned also that its making noise at times so more than likely, that is the problem. Yeah i think you found the problem already. O yeah, to test the blower motor, if it has 2 wires, its just a bplus and a ground and that should spin.
